Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 10, 2024
Your privacy is fundamental to how TempMail is built. This policy explains what data we process, how we protect it, and your rights as a user. TempMail is designed to collect as little data as possible — our default is anonymity.
What we collect
TempMail does not require registration or any personally identifiable information. We temporarily store inbound emails in memory to display them in your browser session. No email content, IP addresses, or usage data is persisted to permanent storage.
How emails are stored
Emails received by your temporary address are held in a short-lived cache. All emails and associated metadata are automatically and permanently purged after your address expires (default: 20 minutes). We have no mechanism to recover deleted emails.
Cookies and tracking
TempMail uses a single, strictly necessary session cookie to associate your browser with a temporary mailbox. We do not use advertising cookies, cross-site trackers, or third-party analytics platforms.
Third-party services
We use Cloudflare for DDoS protection and DNS. Cloudflare may log IP addresses per their own privacy policy. We do not share any data with advertisers, data brokers, or other third parties.
Children's privacy
TempMail is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from minors. If you believe a child has used our service, no personal data has been stored.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as the service evolves. Continued use of TempMail after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
